Here’s some interesting destination news that I don’t see all too often: Yachting Partners International tells me the 84-foot JFA sailing catamaran Rose of Jericho is being made available for charter this winter in Central America.
Availability is going to be in Panama, including the San Blas Islands on the Atlantic side, as well as in Costa Rica. The booking calendar is wide open as of this writing, which means charter clients should be able to secure their dates of choice.
I was most recently on board Rose of Jericho in late 2012, when she was in the Caribbean. She is a 2004 launch that got a new owner in 2010 (a previous charter client, actually). He outfitted her to cruise around the world, including installing a new interior, new electrical components and machinery upgrades. At that time, I was told the world cruise would begin at the end of 2014. It appears those plans remain on schedule, and now the first stop is Central America.
Rose of Jericho accommodates six guests in three staterooms. Her lowest weekly base rate is going to be €30,000 in Central America. Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book a week on board.
