Yacht Charter Deals Abound

With the summer season in full swing, yacht owners are offering incentives to secure more bookings

As the calendar prepares to turn from June to July, a number of charter yacht owners are offering incentives to get a few more bookings during the summer season.

Ocean Independence, which manages the world’s largest fleet of crewed charter yachts, has no fewer than five yachts offering deals right now.

The 163-foot CBI Navi motoryacht Eleni is giving just shy of 15 percent off for a charter July 15-22 in Croatia. Eleni accommodates 12 guests in six staterooms. With the discount, the base rate for those dates drops to €180,000.

In Spain’s Balearic Isles, the 136-foot Jongert sailing yacht Infatuation is offering nine days of charter for the price of seven as long as you book before the end of June. Infatuation takes eight guests in four staterooms; her regular, lowest weekly base rate without the bonus days is €52,500.

Berzinc, a 146-foot Astilleros de Mallorca motoryacht, is giving eight days for the price of seven from August 4-12, or 10 days for the price of eight from August 2-12, for charters around Naples, Olbia and Panarea in Italy. Berzinc accommodates as many as 12 guests in five staterooms at a high-season weekly base rate of €95,000.

And in Croatia, the 118-foot Yener sailing yacht Queen of Datca is giving a 10-percent discount July 15-22, for an itinerary from Split to Dubrovnik. She accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms. With the price break, base rate for those dates falls to €32,850.

Also offering a deal right now is the 131-foot Perini Navi sailing yacht State of Grace. Management company Y.CO says the owner is offering eight days of charter for the price of seven in the West Mediterranean.

The weekly base rate aboard State of Grace is €125,000 with the bonus day starting August 18, and €110,000 with the bonus day starting September 1. State of Grace accommodates as many as nine guests in four staterooms.

Down Under in Australia, the 115-foot New Zealand Yachts powercatamaran Spirit (fresh from a refit that includes a new hot tub) is giving 10 percent off her regular weekly base rate of $90,000 for charters on the Great Barrier Reef.

Spirit accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms—and I was recently aboard her for a few days to check her out, with management company Northrop and Johnson. Stay tuned for my feature article in an upcoming issue of Yachting magazine.

And last but not least, management company Select Yachts sends word that the 75-foot Hatteras motoryacht Seaclusion is offering a special four-day base rate of $10,000 for the “Cheeseburger in Paradise Party” scheduled for June 30 in the Abacos section of the Bahamas. Seaclusion accommodates six guests in three staterooms.

Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about any of the above yachts, or help you book a charter on board at the newly announced incentive rates.
