Every spring, the Monaco Grand Prix is one of the kickoff events for the summer yacht charter season in the Mediterranean. This year’s Monaco Grand Prix is scheduled to be held May 22-25 and will certainly include some of the world’s most spectacular charter yachts. If you’re interested in attending a similar, but more intimate, version of that event, you might consider the Monaco Historic Grand Prix, which features classic race cars running the same circuit on the city’s streets.
This year’s Monaco Historic Grand Prix is May 9-11, and Oceanstyle by Burgess tells me the 120-foot Palmer Johnson motoryacht Vanquish is available for charter at the event.
The owner is requiring a four-day minimum for bookings at a daily base rate of €14,500. Berth charges at the marina are extra, as are typical expenses such as VAT and provisioning.
Vanquish is a 2006 build that completed an extensive refit in 2012. She has a private flybridge that should make a great perch for getting a bird’s-eye view of the race, and she has an iPad-controlled audiovisual system that should keep the party going on board after the race ends each day. She accommodates eight guests maximum overnight.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Vanquish or help you book her during this year’s Monaco Historic Grand Prix.
