Ocean Independence sends word this morning that two of the more impressive charter yachts in its fleet are welcoming offers from clients interested in charters this winter in the Caribbean and Bahamas.
First is the 295-foot Royal Huisman Athena, one of the largest and most luxurious sailing yachts available for charter worldwide. Her regular weekly base rate is $450,000 for 10 guests and 20 crew, a most impressive standard of service on the water. She’s also one of the few (perhaps the only) sailing yachts to have a water slide like the ones aboard a lot of megayachts these days.
Second is the 181-foot Proteksan-Turquoise motoryacht Turquoise, which has been offering discounts of 20 percent to 25 percent on her $294,000 weekly base rate for Caribbean or Bahamas charters. Turquoise is a 2011 build that underwent a major interior refit in 2014, giving her a contemporary decor filled with silver and blue hues. She accommodates 12 guests.
When owners say “bring offers,” it’s hard to know how much lower they will go beyond the advertised weekly base rate, but these new advertisements indicate these particular yachts are ready to make some great deals.
Any reputable charter broker can help you negotiate for time aboard this winter in the Caribbean or Bahamas.
