In February, I told you about the 62-foot Dynamique sailing yacht Anahita offering a transatlantic charter option this spring through Nicholson Yachts. Now comes word that a second sailing yacht in the company’s fleet, the 60-foot Bowman Emily Morgan, is also offering a transatlantic charter opportunity ahead of the summer season in the Mediterranean.
The plan for the Emily Morgan is to make the crossing from Antigua to the Azores before going on to Southampton, England. Departure from Antigua will be on May 7, and the journey is expected to take between 23 and 27 days, depending on weather.
Charter options include doing the Antigua to Azores leg, the Azores to Southampton leg, or both of them combined. For Antigua to the Azores, the per-person rate is £1,700. For the Azores to Southampton, the rate is £1,000. For Antigua to the Azores and then on to Southampton, the rate is £2,400.
Emily Morgan is a 1982 build that was refit in 2003. She can accommodate eight guests in four cabins, though six guests are ideal in terms of onboard space. She was designed by Holman and Pye, who later designed sailing yachts for Oyster.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about the Emily Morgan or help you book a transatlantic charter when she makes the crossing this spring.
