Sadly, Christmas and Hanukkah 2008 are now a memory, but the annual season for holiday yacht charters isn’t over until after New Year’s Day. And, yes, there are still some yachts out there with availability for last-minute New Year’s charter bookings.
Nicholson Yachts has sent out a notice promoting six sailing yachts that are eager to welcome you onboard this week to ring in 2009. They are the 80-foot Lelanta, the 72-footers Pacific Wave and Fearless, the 62-foot Safari, the 57-foot Bandera, and the 47-foot Genesis.
Each yacht can accommodate two to six guests, with weekly base rates ranging from $8,900 to $21,500. In the case of Fearless, the $21,500 weekly base rate is being offered for nine days instead of the usual seven.
Each of these yachts offers structured pricing, too, which means that if you arrive with only two people instead of the four or six that the yacht can take, the weekly rate will be adjusted accordingly. It’s a recipe for a last-minute couple’s getaway, if you ask me.
Better yet, ask any reputable charter broker. He or she can give you more details and have you sipping champagne onboard in just a few days’ time.
