The 194-foot Benetti motoryacht Meamina is the latest charter boat to join the Yacht Carbon Offset program.
“Meamina is evolving this year, operating in a more environmentally responsible way,” Capt. Steve Barker stated in a press release. “Without compromising our very high chartering standards, we will re-evaluate many areas of daily operations, both behind the scenes and in providing greener choices to guests on board. Though we already do seek to be fuel efficient, the fuel demands of a powerful, luxurious yacht like Meamina are vast, so it is great we can respond effectively and economically to her greenhouse gas impact with Yacht Carbon Offset.”
Other charter yachts that have joined the Yacht Carbon Offset program include the 160-foot expedition motoryacht Asteria, the 157-foot expedition motoryacht Hanse Explorer, the 99-foot Benetti motoryacht Quid Pro Quo, the 205-foot Icon motoryacht Baton Rouge and the 170-foot Benetti motoryacht Latitude.
Meamina is part of the charter fleet at Yachting Partners International. I was last on board Meamina about two years ago, she was on display at the MYBA Charter Show in Italy. She was in beautiful condition, including the high-gloss varnish on her exotic woodwork. I especially liked the split-level master suite on the main deck as well as the VIP stateroom with great windows on the bridge deck.
Amenities and toys aboard Meamina include zero-speed stabilizers, a 30-foot water slide, gymnasium equipment, an elevator that services all decks, RYA training and licensing, a crew that includes a personal trainer and masseuse, a large sundeck hot tub, a digital entertainment system and more.
Meamina still has charter dates open this September in the Adriatic Sea. Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book a week on board.
