Still Time for Tahiti Yacht Charter

The 135-foot Alloy sailing yacht Destination will reposition to New Zealand after July

Dubois sends word that the 135-foot Alloy sailing yacht Destination still has availability for last-minute charters in Tahiti, where she will be based through the end of July. Destination will then reposition to New Zealand, with charter availability from late December through March.

Destination was built in 2002 and previously was known as Destination Fox Harb’r. She chartered in Nova Scotia alongside the previous owner’s megayacht, the 161-foot Trinity Destination Fox Harb’r Too. I had a peek onboard the sailing yacht during a visit to Nova Scotia in 2009, and she was being very nicely maintained. The current owner bought her and refit her in 2011, and then moved her to the Caribbean for her first season of charter there.

Destination accommodates eight guests in four staterooms. They all were updated in the 2011 refit, which included installation of a Reymond Langton interior throughout the guest areas (that’s the new look in the photograph at right, courtesy of Dubois Yachts). The refit was so successful that Destination earned the 2012 World Superyacht Award for best refitted yacht.

The weekly base rate to charter Destination is €96,000. Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book a week onboard in Tahiti through the end of July, or in New Zealand later this year and into early 2016.
