With kids heading back to school and the hottest summer days beginning to ebb, it’s time to start thinking about autumn–and in the United States, that includes the Thanksgiving holiday. It’s now about three months away, and there is still time to book a charter yacht for on-the-water “turkey day” festivities.
One option is the 130-foot Christensen motoryacht Sweet Escape, which Churchill Yacht Partners is offering for Thanksgiving at a weekly base rate of $95,000 in either the Bahamas or Caribbean.
Not only is Sweet Escape a well-respected family charter yacht, but if you book her, your Thanksgiving turkey and trimmings will be prepared by Kdn Lyne, a chef who took home first prize at the most recent Antigua Charter Yacht Show culinary competition. The table will look great, too, given that the yacht’s stewardesses also took home first prize for tablescaping.
Sweet Escape is a 1993 build that has been regularly renovated over the years to keep her looking fresh. I was most recently aboard this past December, when I met Lyne following his contest victory, and the boat looked just as good as I remember her being several years ago, when I spent a few days cruising on board in the Virgin Islands. She has a terrific layout for charter, with three king-bed staterooms and another two guest staterooms that can be configured as either kings or twins, depending on the client’s needs.
As you can see in the photograph at right, Sweet Escape also has a ton of water toys that are fun for all ages.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Sweet Escape or help you book a week on board during the Thanksgiving holiday in the Bahamas or Caribbean.
