The South Pacific has been growing in popularity for charters during the past few years, and the coming season seems to bring more and more great options week after week.
Last week, I told you about a couple of well-known sailing yachts going to Tahiti for 2014. Now comes word about a sailing catamaran, a couple of well-respected motoryachts and another sailing yacht that all are accepting South Pacific inquiries now.
The catamaran is Cattitude, a 73-foot Privilege build that will take eight guests at a lowest weekly base rate of $45,000. She’s listed with management company Ocean Independence and is likely to be one of the best deals for family charters in the region this year.
YCO, meanwhile, has the 190-foot Royal Huisman sailing yacht Ethereal heading to Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands and Fiji–where my guess is she will be the most luxurious sailing yacht available for the season. YCO also is now accepting inquiries for charters aboard the 223-foot Feadship motoryacht Lady Christine in Fiji after June 1, and aboard the 147-foot Aquos motoryacht Big Fish in New Caledonia and Vanuatu. Given Lady Christine‘s size and Dutch pedigree, I think she’s going to be hard to beat for luxurious yacht accommodations in this part of the world, too.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Cattitude, Ethereal, Big Fish or Lady Christine, and can talk to you about availability during the upcoming season in the South Pacific.
