Regularly, the weekly base rate is $150,000 to charter Highlander. It’s now $100,000, with itineraries available throughout the Caribbean islands as well as in Belize, Mexico, Cuba and Central America. The yacht’s calendar is open starting in late January.
Highlander entered the charter market in 2014 with a great deal of publicity. She originally was built as The Highlander in 1986 for media titan Malcolm Forbes. She is a Jon Bannenberg design that had people agog even before they learned about her guest list, which included movie stars like Robert De Niro and world leaders like Margaret Thatcher. The yacht not only had traditional staterooms and guest areas but also boasted conference rooms for events.
The new owners added 12 feet to Highlander‘s stern in a pre-charter refit, allowing her transom to have a more traditional look with better access to the water. The sundeck also was extended, and the main deck is now totally focused on guest relaxation. Zero-speed stabilizers were added along with a new sound and video system, and more, to bring the yacht up to date for charter.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Highlander or help you book her for a Caribbean yacht charter this winter at the reduced weekly base rate of $100,000.
