Here’s a good way to end the week: Ocean Independence sends word that the 164-foot Westport motoryacht Harmony is dropping her weekly base rate from $250,000 to $199,000 for Bahamas charters through the end of May.
The yacht is currently based in Nassau, so itineraries that start there will incur no delivery fees. Nassau is a great jumping-off point for itineraries throughout the Exumas, an archipelago where few cruise ships travel, leaving the beaches and coves quiet and pristine.
The $199,000 weekly base rate is the best we’ve seen advertised so far from Harmony‘s owner. This past February, he offered the yacht at $225,000.
Harmony is a 2010 build that accommodates 12 guests in six staterooms. She’s one of just two Westport 164s available for charter worldwide (the other is Aquavita).
Harmony‘s master stateroom is on the main deck, the VIP is one level up on the bridge deck and the remaining four staterooms are on the bottom deck. Two of those have king-size beds, one has twins and one has twins that convert to a king. It’s a great layout for families with kids, or for adult couples.
The yacht has a bit of pep in her engineroom, too. Her cruising speed is 14 knots, but she’s capable of hitting a top end of 23 knots.
Any reputable charter broker can help you book Harmony at the newly announced discount rate in the Bahamas through the end of May.
