Samara Adds a Stateroom

The 80-foot Pachoud powercatamaran can now accommodate eight guests in the Bahamas

Ocean Independence sends word that the 80-foot Pachoud powercatamaran Samara has added a fourth stateroom, allowing her to accommodate eight guests.

Samara is based in the Bahamas. Built in 2015, she offers scuba diving from on board and has a hydraulic swim platform that makes it easy to get in and out of the water.

The yacht’s cruising speed is 12 knots with a top speed of 22 knots, which is plenty fast for cruising around the Bahamas. In addition, the yacht’s catamaran design gives her a far shallower draft than monohull sailing yachts of the same length; that means she can get into shallower areas for snorkeling, heading to the beach and more.

The lowest weekly base rate is $60,000 to charter Samara in the Bahamas. Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book a week on board.
