You know business is booming in the yacht charter industry when management companies are sending out e-blasts in early February about yachts already being close to fully booked for the summer season. Such is the case with the 102-foot Southern Wind sailing yacht Farfalla, which Bernard Gallay says has just two weeks of availability remaining in the Mediterranean.
The last open dates on Farfalla are July 8-14 in Greece, and July 29 through August 8 in Croatia. The weekly base rate for both sets of dates is €55,000.
Farfalla launched in May 2014 as the first Southern Wind 102 available for charter anywhere. (Several Southern Wind 100s, including Cape Arrow and FarAndWide, have done well on the charter market.) This new model is marketed as more spacious than the 100-foot predecessor, with larger guest areas inside and out. Farfalla is a raised-saloon model, which means that even if charter guests encounter rainshowers, there will be a sheltered place to relax in comfort.
Farfalla accommodates eight guests in four staterooms, and she cruises with five crew on board. Kayaks, standup paddleboards, snorkeling equipment and more are part of her water-sports package.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Farfalla or help you book one of her last two remaining weeks for the summer 2015 season in the Mediterranean.
