The 203-foot Holland Jachtbouw Athos is among the world’s biggest sailing yachts available for charter, and McMaster Yachts tells me she’s planning to offer dates in the South Pacific next year. Nice.
Athos is currently preparing for the winter 2014-15 season in the Caribbean, where charters also are available. She will then cruise to the South Pacific, where charters will be available from May through July in the Marquesas, Tuamotus and Society Islands; in late August through October in the Haapai and Vava’u island groups, as well as in Tonga; in late October and November in Fiji; and from December through March 2016 in New Zealand.
Athos was built in 2010 and accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms that include a master suite with a private cockpit and deckhouse. She holds the distinction of being the world’s largest privately owned two-masted schooner, and she’s built for serious sailing as well as guest comfort, a fact most recently seen when the owner made her available for racing and regatta charters last year.
The lowest weekly base rate is €160,000 for charters this winter in the Caribbean or next year in the South Pacific.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Athos or help you book a week on board.
