Edmiston has just welcomed the 161-foot explorer yacht Asteria to the charter fleet, with availability in the South Pacific.
Asteria (previously for charter with Ocean Independence) was built as a salvage tug in 1970. She was rebuilt and converted into a yacht in 2002, and another major refit was done in 2019. The latter project included new paint, interior and exterior overhauls, and the installation of an upgraded mast.
The yacht’s credentials are strong for go-anywhere charters. She has cruised to the north and south poles and through the Northwest Passage. She’s also done a global circumnavigation.
Accommodations are for 12 guests in six staterooms, and she charters with 11 crew.
Right now, Asteria is in French Polynesia. The plan is for her to charter this winter in the Caribbean and then head to Greenland for summer 2020. The lowest weekly base rate is $210,000.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Asteria or help you book a week on board.
