Edmiston and Company tells me that it has just welcomed the 163-foot Nereids motoryacht Azteca II to the charter fleet. She will be based year-round in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, a destination where it can be hard to find charter yachts of that size and caliber.
Azteca II accommodates 12 guests in six staterooms, including a full-beam, main-deck master suite. The five additional staterooms are on the bottom deck and include a full-beam VIP cabin.
The yacht was built in 2005 and most recently refitted in 2012. She is a steel-hull, ice-classed yacht that is designed to explore the world in safety and comfort. She has zero-speed stabilizers, a range of 5,400 nautical miles, and a cruising speed of 14 knots with a top speed of 17 knots. Amenities include a sundeck hot tub, a pair of SeaDoo Wave Runners, and a Kawasaki Jet Ski.
Previously, Azteca II chartered in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. The lowest weekly base rate in Mexico will be $175,000, and any reputable charter broker can tell you more as itineraries become available. You also can find more information on the Azteca II website.
