Camper & Nicholsons International sends word that a newly announced Singapore Airlines route from Manhattan to Singapore makes charters in the Raja Ampat region of Indonesia more accessible than ever.
That includes charters aboard Lamima, a 213-foot custom build that was constructed in Indonesia and bases there for charters year-round.
I was on charter in Raja Ampat a few years ago. The region is among more than 50 islands and nations I’ve visited aboard charter yachts, and I can honestly say that I’ve never seen underwater scenery like the coral and fish that I saw in Raja Ampat. The place is so remote that you get to see what nature looks like if we humans simply leave it alone. It is vibrant to the point of almost glowing, and absolutely teeming with life. It’s hard to understand how underwater reefs can even possibly look until you see them in a natural state like this.
Lamima accommodates 14 guests in seven staterooms, and charters with 20 crew. The yacht offers onboard massages, PADI-certified scuba diving, an outdoor cinema and more.
The lowest weekly base rate is $130,000 to charter Lamima in Raja Ampat. Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book a week on board.
