Buckingham Yachts International sends word that the 157-foot expedition motoryacht Hanse Explorer has joined the Yacht Carbon Offset program.
“Cruising the most remote and untamed corners of our planet, Hanse Explorer attracts an adventurous breed of charter client with a passion for experiencing untainted wilderness,” says charter agent Mark Buckingham. “Providing our charter guests with the opportunity to eliminate the carbon footprint of their charter is a perfect fit with Hanse Explorer’s low-impact cruising philosophy.”
Hanse Explorer is an ice-classed yacht that is currently cruising in Antarctica. She is expected to be available for charters this summer in Northern Europe, with accommodations for 12 guests.
Yacht Carbon Offset allows guests to offset the yacht’s emissions with equivalent greenhouse gas reductions from projects such as renewable power. Yacht Carbon Offset has Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Certification. A number of other charter yachts are currently using the Yacht Carbon Offset program, as well. They include the 205-foot Icon motoryacht Baton Rouge and the 170-foot Benetti motoryacht Latitude.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Hanse Explorer or help you book a week onboard utilizing the carbon offset program.
