I know, I know: Summertime is still in full swing. But if you look at the calendar, you’ll see that in the United States, the Thanksgiving holiday is less than four months away. If you’re interested in enjoying a turkey dinner with family and friends while the yacht’s chef and crew do all the work of holiday preparations, then the time to book is now.
Churchill Yacht Partners says three of the motoryachts in its charter fleet are available for “turkey day” bookings. The 130-foot Christensen motoryacht Sweet Escape, the 142-foot Palmer Johnson motoryacht Lady J and the 130-foot Westport motoryacht W are all open for Thanksgiving itineraries in either the Bahamas or the Caribbean.
I’ve spent a good deal of time aboard two of the three, having chartered aboard Sweet Escape in the Virgin Islands and aboard Lady J off the coast of Antigua during the past few years. Both of those yachts are extremely family-friendly with lovely food, comfortable accommodations and water toys that will keep kids of all ages (including those of my 40-plus-years vintage) happy in the sun for hours.
W is a newer addition to the Churchill fleet, and I haven’t yet had a chance to get aboard, but she is a 2014 build–a designation that makes her one of the newest (if not the newest) 130-foot Westports available for charter worldwide. That’s W in the photograph at right. Some additional great photos and information are available at the yacht W website.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Sweet Escape, Lady J or W, or help you book a Thanksgiving holiday on board in the Bahamas or Caribbean.
