Christmas is two weeks from today, and two well-respected yachts are offering last-minute deals to entice clients interested in celebrating with some sunshine in the Caribbean.
First is the 197-foot Feadship motoryacht Paraffin, which Fraser Yachts Worldwide tells me is being offered for Christmas not at the augmented holiday rate of $410,000, but instead at the low-season rate of $360,000. That’s a savings of more than 10 percent. If you’re a regular reader of CharterWave, you know Paraffin (shown in the photograph) is one of my favorite superyachts of all time, an elegant beauty with fantastic features for fun, service and great cuisine events. Her captain, Watson de Silva, was named the best charter captain in the entire Fraser fleet last year.
Also offering a last-minute deal is the 187-foot Aegean sailing yacht Montigne, which is for charter with Ocean Independence. Her owner, too, is offering the yacht for Christmas at the low-season rate instead of the usual holiday rate, dropping the weekly base price from $147,000 to $119,000. That’s a savings of 20 percent. I was on board Montigne a few years ago in Europe, and she stood out among sailing yachts for the spaciousness of her guest cabins.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you secure a charter yacht in time for the Christmas holiday.
