FYBA Charter Honor Goes to Barbara Stork Landeweer

The award comes a year after IYC named Landeweer its in-house charter agent of the year

The Florida Yacht Brokers Association has named Barbara Stork Landeweer of International Yacht Collection its charter professional of the year for 2014.

This award comes about a year after IYC named Landeweer its in-house charter agent of the year (for the third year in a row). Her work with IYC follows a number of years as a broker with The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals and Fraser Yachts Worldwide.

“It is an honor to receive this recognition and award from FYBA, the association that governs our industry,” Landeweer stated in a press release. “Charter professionals from many different companies vote on award selection. It makes me so proud that they think highly of me, my hard work and that my professional way of doing business is appreciated and acknowledged.”

During 2014, Landeweer helped clients book charters aboard the 169-foot Benetti Sai Ram, the 164-foot Delta Arianna, the 164-foot Westport Aquavita, the 145-foot Heesen At Last, the 142-foot Christensen Lady Bee, the 140-foot Proteksan-Turquoise Capricorn, the 135-foot Alloy Polly, the 130-foot Westports Amitie and Serengeti, and the 97-foot Ferretti Soleado.

“We are delighted that IYC’s Barbara Stork Landeweer has been recognized by her peers with this prestigious award,” IYC President Bob Saxon stated in a press release. “Barbara is a consummate professional, a delight to work with, and she is at her best when planning extraordinary charter vacation experiences for her clients.”

I’d like to add my personal congratulations, as I’ve known and trusted Barbara’s expertise for well more than a decade now. Congratulations on a well-deserved honor.
