Management house 37 South sends word that the newly extended, 201-foot expedition yacht SuRi has completed her shipyard work as well as her sea trials. She’s a tad later than expected coming out of the yard, but after eight months of work is now ready to begin her charter program for the winter season.
As I wrote back in June, SuRi will now cruise down the U.S. West Coast and is expected to be available in Patagonia in November. The Antarctica charter dates will be in December and January.
The new mid-body extension aboard SuRi includes a bottom-deck media room with huge glass windows on the floor that turn whatever is beneath the yacht into, essentially, a private aquarium. Also part of the extension are a climate-controlled dining room on the top deck, extended and enlarged guest cabins, and new sunpads on the top deck.
SuRi takes 10 to 12 guests at a lowest weekly base rate of $295,000. She carries a crew of 14.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you book one of the available weeks between now and January in Patagonia or Antarctica.
