Nicholson Yachts is extending hearty congratulations to the 115-foot classic sailing yacht Eros, which just took first place in the schooner class as well as in the cruising class of the Nantucket Opera House Cup.
Eros is regularly made available for regatta charters, and still has openings for the Newport Classic Yacht Regatta that starts August 31 in Rhode Island.
She regularly charters at events such as the St. Barth’s Bucket in March, the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta in April, the Vineyard Cup in Massachusetts in July, the Eggemoggin Reach Regatta in Maine in August, Nantucket Race Week in August, and the Greenport (N.Y.) Classic Yacht Regatta in September.
Launched in 1939 at Brooks Motor Craft in Britain, Eros became part of the Royal Navy during World War II and then returned to the waters as a private yacht in the Mediterranean. Her current owners have had her since 1992, and have made it their goal to complete a museum-quality restoration of the classic sailing yacht.
Eros accommodates eight guests in four staterooms. The master has a queen-size bed, the VIP has a double, and the remaining two guest staterooms have upper-and-lower berths with a shared bathroom.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Eros or help you book her for the Newport Classic Yacht Regatta at the end of this month.
