Half-board means guests eat some meals on board, and others ashore. This particular deal includes basic breakfasts of cereal, toast, coffee and juice on board, as well as one-course meals and a “conservative ship’s bar and snacks.” Guests would eat half of their lunches and dinners ashore during the seven-night itinerary.
Because guests are eating ashore some of the time, the weekly base rate is lowered. For Christmas week, it drops to a range of $7,500 to $9,500 for two to six people.
