Churchill Yacht Partners tells me the 130-foot Christensen motoryacht Sweet Escape is moving to a system of rotating crew.
Starting immediately, popular Capt. Paulo Guedes and chef Lizzie Hall will rotate duties with Capt. Patrick Anderson and chef Rebecca Thomas Anderson. The rotation will allow Sweet Escape to continue a busy charter schedule while allowing both husband-and-wife teams to get some down time and keep the energy level high among the crew overall.
“The two captain-chef teams will rotate on a six-weeks-on, six-weeks-off basis, ensuring that Sweet Escape continues her impeccable charter reputation, with well-rested crew, 10 months of the year,” according to the management company. The remaining two months of each year will be used for scheduled maintenance, as has been the case in years past.
Sweet Escape‘s owner also has added an eighth crew member to work as part of the yacht’s team during charters.
I cruised onboard Sweet Escape during March 2012 in the Virgin Islands with Capt. Guedes and chef Hall onboard. The service was outstanding, as was the cuisine. Charter broker Trina Howes of CharterWorld was onboard at the same time that I was, and she also gave high marks to the charter program.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Sweet Escape or help you book a week on board.
