Are you looking for six days of of non-stop racing action and seven nights of partying? Look no further than the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival, beginning March 26th with a welcome party at Nanny Cay Marina, followed by 3 days of racing and destination cruising – all leading up to the main three day regatta beginning on Friday, March 30th. With the tranquil blue waters of the Virgin Islands, the warm steady tradewinds and the picturesque scenery of the islands, racing enthusiasts return year after year for the fun, great weather and of course the fabulous race course of the Sir Francis Drake Channel.
The scehdule of events is as follows:
Monday: March 31-The BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival kicks off on Monday evening with the registration and welcome party for the Sailing Festival at Nanny Cay Marina.
Tuesday, April 1- Races up the Sir France Drake Channel to the Bitter End Yacht Club for the Bitter End Cup. Evening festivities include the Awards party and limbo jump-up at the Almond Walk and adjacent beach.
Wednesday, April 2-Lay Day: Beach fun at the Bitter End. Morning and afternoon dinghy regattas in the Laser and Hobie Wave fleets. Annual Nations Cup Challenge. Other water sports activities include snorkeling, windsurfing rally and sailing excursions to Anegada and the Baths. Evening activities include the Awards for Dinghy Regattas and Nations’ Cup Challenge, along with a cookout and party at the Quarterdeck Club & Pub.
