Burgess Yachts is opening an office in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
“Burgess will work with local partner SJM Group’s maritime division, chaired by a member of Dubai’s ruling family, to introduce superyacht services of exceptional standard to the UAE and to develop the maritime sector within the GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council] region,” the company stated in a press release.
Jonathan Hind, formerly general manager of the Dubai Marina Yacht Club (the largest marina in the Middle East) will head up the new office.
The first yacht being offered for charter is the 252-foot Silver Yachts motoryacht Silver Fast, with a weekly base rate of $650,000 in both the Gulf region and the Maldives. Silver Fast is marketed as the world’s largest and fastest aluminum motoryacht with conventional propulsion, able to hit top speeds between 20 and 22 knots. Charter amenities include an outdoor cinema, an eight-person hot tub and a beach club with sauna, steam room, gym, massage room and beauty salon.
