Select Yachts has just welcomed two boats to its charter fleet, and one is a brand-new build that will be based in the Grenadines.
The 52-foot Lagoon sailing catamaran Freedom is scheduled to be delivered to Grenada in early July, after which she will become available for charter throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Freedom has three queen-bed cabins, making her an ideal option for three adult couples wishing to charter together and split the bill. Freedom also has every state-of-the-art feature that one would expect on a new build of her size, including satellite telephone and underwater lights (shown in the photograph at right). The crew includes a PADI-certified scuba team who can help clients interested in doing some diving.
The weekly base rate to charter Freedom has yet to be set.
Also new to the Select Yachts charter fleet is the 65-foot Fountaine Pajot sailing catamaran Victoria. She is a 2001 build with three cabins, two with queen-size beds and one with a slightly smaller bed that tapers at the foot. Victoria will be based in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, with charter availability throughout the northern Caribbean.
The weekly base rate to charter Victoria ranges from $12,000 to $16,000 for two to six guests and includes many typical expenses, such as food and ship’s bar. Rates can be further reduced by 10 percent right now as part of a special offering, if charter clients are interested in dining ashore for three lunches and three dinners during the week.
