Ocean Independence sends word that the 123-foot Gdansk and Jaroslaw Filipiak sailing yacht Alexa will be returning to Spain’s Balearic Isles this summer, with charter inquiries being accepted now.
Currently, Alexa is operating in the northern Caribbean and British Virgin Islands. She is expected to cross the Atlantic Ocean in time to start the Mediterranean season this May.
Alexa is a 1992 build that underwent a substantial refit from 2011-13. If you’re a fan of historic sailing yachts, then you may recognize her lines, which were inspired by the 413-foot Britannia that served as the Royal Yacht of Queen Elizabeth from 1954 through 1997. The recent refit of Alexa maintained a lot of her traditional appeal while adding a lighter, more contemporary interior decor.
Alexa accommodates eight guests in four ensuite staterooms. She charters with a complement of five crew at a lowest weekly base rate of €44,000 during the summer.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Alexa or help you book a week on board this summer in the Balearic Isles.
