Ocean Independence tells me that several of the charter yachts in its fleet are still available for Christmas and New Year’s, including two larger options on both the power and sail sides.
For megayacht lovers, the 181-foot Proteksan-Turquoise motoryacht Turquoise has availability. The owner is requesting a 10-day minimum, and the charter must end before January 4, when Turquoise picks up another charter in the British Virgin Islands. The yacht recently won an International Yacht & Aviation Award for her extensive 2014 refit, which left her interior (shown at right) looking about as swanky and contemporary as you’ll find anywhere in the global yacht charter fleet.
For those who prefer to sail in megayacht style, the 295-foot Royal Huisman sailing yacht Athena also has the holidays open in the Caribbean. She is the world’s largest sailing yacht available for charter, bigger than many of the megayachts on the market today.
The holiday weekly base rate for Turquoise is €294,000 (about $315,000), while the holiday weekly base rate for Athena is $425,000.
Any reputable charter broker can tell you more or help you secure the holiday yacht charter dates in the Caribbean.
